My name is Sarah Chapman Swinson, and I was born and raised in Eatonton, Georgia. One of my favorite aspects of growing up in this wonderful small town is the overwhelming sense of community and support that is shared among its residents. During my senior year at Putnam County High School, I began applying for local scholarships, and was so blessed to have been the recipient of the New Life Outreach scholarship. This generous scholarship, provided by members of my own community, helped me attend Mercer University to pursue my undergraduate education.
